Hours: Full Time (35 hours/week)
Location: Rochester
Benefits: Living stipend of $22,000, other benefits for those who qualify (see attached)
Start Date: September 9, 2024
Under the supervision of the Director of Finance/Operations, and in conformance with the Personnel Policies and Procedures established by the Center for Dispute Settlement Board of Directors, the AmeriCorps CMSC Member’s focus will be on supporting agency communications, social media, fundraising, and programming. Training will be provided in mediation leading to certification, conflict coaching, and restorative practices.
Essential Functions:
* Create and publish monthly newsletter including: identify and interview a Volunteer of the Month, write features about staff and board members, write articles about one an agency program each month, ask county directors to send articles and photos
* Post on social media 2-3x/week
* Fundraising support including: identify potential donors and schedule meetings with the President/CEO, identify places to give presentations, identify other fundraising opportunities, e.g., sponsorships, events, etc., identify grant opportunities, and potentially support grant writing efforts
* Media communications including: write articles for local publications, CDS featured in tv/radio/online forums
* Support agency programming as needed
* Attend agency meetings and events
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Age 17 or older
