Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Pneumatic Test Technician to join our growing Operations teams based in Staverton.
Ontic is more than just a business; we're a community of innovators who pride ourselves on fostering a culture where talent thrives, ideas flourish, and careers are built. We're committed to excellence, driving us to continuously improve and adapt, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of our industry.
What will you be doing?
You'll be responsible for the testing of various Pneumatic components and will ensure that all tests follow strict guidelines and instructions set by the Company and its customers, in accordance with required Aviation standards. You'll use appropriate test facilities to perform required tests to the relevant specification, recording results as necessary. You will ensure that traceability is maintained throughout all test processes and will complete fault finding, strip down, and repair of components. You'll also be able to use your expertise to support Engineering/Quality investigations and project work.
What will you need to know?
You'll be experienced in working on mechanical or Pneumatic components with the ability to utilise detailed engineering drawings and other documentation as required. Electrical experience would be a great bonus but is by no means essential. Ideally, you'll already be confident in testing hydraulic/pneumatic units, but this isn't essential either. You will need to have experience of working to close tolerances and time limits and have excellent attention to detail as you will be following detailed written instructions.
