SEN Teacher
Location: Coventry
Full-Time: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm

We are seeking an experienced and resilient SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Coventry. About the Role:
As an SEN School Teacher, you will:
1. Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to students with complex needs
2. Support children with a range of learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, physical disabilities, and communication challenges
3. Use alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECs, AAC devices) for non-verbal students
4. Implement structured routines and behaviour management strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties
5. Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
6. Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported
7. Monitor student progress, providing tailored support and intervention when needed
8. Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed at all times
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Has experience working in an SEN setting or with students who have additional needs
3. Is confident in managing challenging behaviour and implementing de-escalation techniques
4. Has a strong understanding of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and how to adapt teaching accordingly
5. Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
6. Is resilient, patient, and committed to supporting children with complex needs
7. Works well as part of a multi-disciplinary team and is eager to contribute to the school community
