About the Role
Base Location: Perth or Reading preferred (other SSEN Offices and Depots will be considered)
Salary: £41,583 - £48,296 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As an Access Analyst you will oversee the access rights of customers connected to our network. You'll play an integral role in the Access Team ensuring the portfolio of reinforcement works for both licence areas are delivered on time and in line with curtailment end dates. You'll also be responsible for accurately reporting the status of curtailable connections and their associated reinforcements to the wider DSO team including senior DSO leaders, Operations and Connections directorates.
Main responsibilities in the role include:
1. Supporting and coordinating the development of new access products to accelerate new connection to the SSEN network.
2. Monitor and enforce compliance with access rights and obligations by all parties (i.e. customers and DNO/IDNOs alike) to ensure a safe, reliable and fair network.
3. Maintain the central ledger of rights and obligations and be a point of reference for all functions across SSEN (i.e. system planning, connections, network commercial, dispatch, control etc).
4. Co-ordinate and maintain internal process to account for changes to the framework for access right in line with national codes such as DCUSA and DCode.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to:
1. Have the ability to translate regulatory and code requirements and embed in business process and controls.
2. Be experienced in influencing and negotiating effectively at a variety of levels, demonstrating excellent stakeholder management skills.
3. Be commercially aware and proficient in contract management and enforcement using agreed processes.
4. Have a good understanding of network development, new connection requirements and engineering and commercial processes for assessing connections to networks.
5. Understand the framework for network access and changes introduced under Access SCR; knowledge of DCUSA and Distribution Code obligations would be beneficial.
