Job Description
3. To work with and support the management team on operational HR, providing advice on all areas of recruitment, contracts of employment, employee relations, training and development and performance management
4. Manage employee relations including mediation, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
5. To advise on HR policies and procedures and relevant employment legislation. Monitoring, reviewing and updating policies to ensure these are in line with the current legislation
6. Provide management with support in relation to the control and management of both long term and short-term absence, overtime and holidays. Analyse data to recognise trends and implement practices in order to avoid negative impacts on the business. This includes recommending employees for Occupational Health
7. To promote best HR practice by challenging, directing, supporting and influencing others within every department
8. Complete figures for HR Monthly Report for each business to include employee numbers, vacancies, absence information and hourly paid hours worked
9. Support organisational change and resource planning
10. Manage end to end recruitment and on boarding
11. To undertake HR projects as and when required
12. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
The successful HR Advisor will possess:
13. Previous experience in a HR Advisory role, within a manufacturing/logistics/supply chain environment (sectors desirable - not essential)
14. CIPD or equivalent demonstrable experience
15. Proven experience in a similar HR role within the logistics distribution and supply chain industry.
16. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
17. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
18. High degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
19. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

21. Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in order to meet strict deadlines
22. Good time management and planning skills
23. High-level of self-motivation, independence and self-reliance
