Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: North West England, Lancashire, Ormskirk
Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Salary: £12.90 - £14.50 Per hour
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Ormskirk, Lancashire. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in their educational development. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
- Support the class teacher in managing student behaviour
- Help students develop social and emotional skills
- Contribute to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Demonstrated understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
- Experience in implementing behaviour management strategies
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- Additional training in supporting students with SEMH needs
- Temporary position with Full-Time hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
