Mobile Plant Fitter - Frog Island, Rainham
£44,322.72 per annum
41 hours per week - Mon-Fri
The successful candidate will be a certified Fitter/Mechanic who will be responsible for repairing and maintaining mobile plant to ensure utmost reliability and safety whilst reducing downtime. Working as part of a small team, you must be willing to perform tasks outside of the role description.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing technical support to all mobile plant operations
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks around the ELWA sites
* Repairing mobile plant around the ELWA sites
* Anticipate mobile plant failures and make such changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence to minimize downtime
* Using hand tools, welding equipment, powered hand tools and cutting equipment
* Ensuring H&S standards are maintained, and all related documentation is completed
* Liaising with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work
* Travelling and working between ELWA Sites as and when required
Requirements
Essential criteria for this role:
* Able to diagnose faults, repair and maintain machinery, and have a good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
* Previous experience working with heavy machinery or in a mechanical / Auto electrical role can be beneficial
* Able to work under pressure and work well with others
* Candidate will be a team player and, also work under own initiative, with the ability to plan its own workload
* Clean UK drivers license is a requirement for the position
