We offer our clients a range of installation options and after-sales service and maintenance programmes, which is where this role fits in within our Field Engineering Team. As a result, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated team players to help us continue on our path of further growth and development. The Role: As part of our Field Engineering team, you’ll work alongside our team of mobile installation, maintenance and service engineers who carry out the full installation of our perimeter security products. You'll also be attending installations, servicing and maintenance routine checks, emergency call outs and repairs to contracted clients to assist with the upkeep of their gates, barriers and road blockers. As well as our own products, we also look after other gate and barrier companies. Working closely with the Service Administration team, you’ll visit new and existing clients across the UK with the opportunity of abroad travel. Working a 5-day week with Saturday work required on a rota basis – works out at approx. 13 Saturdays per year. An on-call rota is also required after successful completion of probation – this will require being available for call-outs 24/7 over a week period (8 on call weeks per year) Reporting directly to the Head of Field Engineering & Logistics, we’re seeking someone who is self-motivated, confident, and who has a true customer service approach to problem solving and who can complete all work to a high standard having completed Cova’s in house training. Attention to detail is key as you’ll need to keep accurate records of checks made, tasks undertaken and completing reporting following a client visit. You’ll be responsible for keeping stock and managing the materials and parts kept on your vehicle at all times, ensuring it’s stocked up for everything you need ahead of the next job. Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will need a full clean driving licence, a good level of fitness due to the demands of the job, good communication (written and verbally) and be able to pass security clearances.
