As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for resolving IT-related issues within a hybrid working environment. Your expertise will ensure minimal downtime and enhance productivity for our users. This role involves a balance of technical troubleshooting, user support, and collaboration across teams. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include: First Line Support:
* Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
* Assist users with login problems, password resets, and account setup
* Incident Management:
* Log, track, and escalate issues using our ticketing system.
* Prioritize incidents based on severity and impact on business operations.
Hardware and Software Support:
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
* Manage software applications via MDM and RMM tools.
Network Support:
* Troubleshoot network connectivity for wired and wireless connections.
* Set up and configure routers, switches, and firewalls
Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
* Create and update knowledge base articles.
User Training and Education:
* Provide training on IT systems and applications.
* Promote IT security and data protection best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work with IT team members to resolve complex issues.
* Communicate with end-users to gather necessary information for issue resolution.
Proven experience as a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician or similar role.
* Knowledge of Windows device management and Active Directory.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
* Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Customer-oriented with a patient and positive attitude.
* Willingness to travel for vessel mobilization as needed.
* Ability to work independently.
