About the role...
We are currently recruiting for a People Relations (ER) Advisor to join our People Relations team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall.
This is an essential role working cross-functionally to provide HR advice, support, and assistance to our Retail and non-retail teams following Company policies, procedures, and best practice.
Reporting into the People Advisor Lead, the People Relations Advisor will play a pivotal role supporting HR Managers, Area Managers, Store Managers, and employees by providing expert advice and support on a range of employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance improvement and absence management.
A varied role with no two days being the same, you will be someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, whilst prioritising your workload.
The role is hybrid with 2-3 days in our Customer Support Centre in Walsall alongside the wider People team.

Your Impact and Responsibilities…
Working as part of a team, the People Relations Advisor would be responsible for:
* Phone and Email Support: Manage a high volume of incoming calls and respond to emails from Management Teams, Union Representatives (USDAW) and Colleagues
* Legal Compliance: Stay up to date with employment law changes and ensure all employee relations practices are legally compliant.
* Issue Resolution: Partner with HR Managers, Area Managers and Store Managers to manage multiple caseloads and assist in resolving employee relations issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
* Employee Guidance: Offer clear and effective advice on all HR matters, policies, and best practice.
* Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and communications, accurately producing reports and letters, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Skills and Knowledge…
* Proven experience of working in An Employee Relations role, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as Retail
* Sound knowledge of employment law and ideally, a CIPD or equivalent HR Management degree or similar would be desirable but not essential.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
* Strong people skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships with your stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
* Advanced Excel skills with the ability to collate and produce reports.
