To complement our current Finance team, we are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant who will be involved with our month end and accounts payable activities. Reporting to our Financial Controller, responsibilities will include: Accounting Processing multi-currency invoices received from suppliers ensuring accurate data input. Ensure correct VAT coding. Checking invoices to ensure compliance with internal purchase to pay process. Monitoring finance inbox on a daily basis, dealing with supplier invoice and payment queries. Liaising with colleagues to maintain PO records and provide purchase transaction information as required. Requesting and reconciling supplier statements on a regular basis. Processing employee expenses through Concur SAP module. Preparing supplier payment runs for review and payment. Completing other ad hoc finance tasks as required. Month End: Reconciliation of AP export to the trial balance and review for errors/issues. Monthly posting of depreciation within SAP. Reconciliation of the fixed assets to the trial balance. Involvement in the reconciliation of VAT accounts. Input to the accruals and prepayments schedules. Posting and reversal of journals to correspond with reconciliations. Analysis and review of costs incurred in month and comments on variances against budget. Analysis of spend per cost centre and elements of cost control. Creation of month end reports and pivots using data directly from SAP. Analysis and reports surrounding open purchase requests, purchase orders and goods receipts. Opportunity for involvement with the budget and forecasts. To be considered, the suitable candidate will have previous experience within an accounting/ finance role.
