This is an exciting time in Edinburgh to join a project to develop, promote and implement person centred / trauma informed and related approaches with a range of new initiatives underway as part of the Whole Family Wellbeing developments to support system change and future sustainability. A key function of all this involves Edinburgh’s families, the voices of children and young people to support a co-design and co-production approach to the service delivery. You will be working collaboratively across the children services partnership in Edinburgh to meet the key objectives of a range of policy drivers such as Getting it Right for Every Child, The Promise and wider poverty agenda. You will work with a wide range of services to design and deliver initiatives that provide development of trauma-informed practices for staff and services at all levels in the council. The service aims to offer earlier support to vulnerable families contributing to the objectives of the Children & Families services to Edinburgh’s strategy.
This position is open to candidates currently based within third sector organisations who may be interested in a secondment. Those candidates who are interested should seek the appropriate permission and authorisation from their line manager.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
