Description Role available for one or two research assistants. They will work with two researchers in the School of Education to synthesise the empirical and theoretical impact of their research under the emerging theme of bridging the gap between vocational colleges and industry (the TVET-industry gap). Start Date: As soon as possible to be confirmed by the hiring manager End Date: 10th June 2025 Working Hours: There are 247 of hours work in total. There is some flexibly in the hours worked depending on whether 1 or 2 research assistants are appointed. Pay Rate: £16.65 per hour plus holiday pay Location: Dearing Building or home The duties will include: Liaise with the lead researcher to agree a schedule of work for the empirical synthesis of qualitative research data and related literature review work. Produce high quality summaries of emerging themes, drawing on the empirical data and literature as directed by the lead researcher. Assist the lead researcher to consolidate thematic findings from the portfolio of research projects listed above. Skills and experience required for the role: Currently working towards PhD. Experience of research with qualitative data. Knowledge of the topic is desired but not essential. What you can expect to gain during this role: Research project experience.
