We have a 24 hour Part-time, Permanent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our new service in Ceredigion as a Floating Support Worker, where you will provide community support to individuals who have mild learning disabilities. It is essential that the successful candidate holds a driver's license and has access to a car. Where does the role fit into Pobl? You will work with your team to truly make a difference in the lives of people we support. What is great about the role? No two days are the same and it's especially rewarding when you are a part of an individual's development and growth. Your day with consist of:
* Conducting needs assessments and person centred support plans
* Provide practical and emotional support to the individuals you support
* Provide support around housing challenges, mental health issues, substance misuse issues and other complex needs.
* Assisting with sustaining and securing suitable accommodation
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Developing your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
* Delivering workshops to the individuals we support.
Previous experience in a similar role
* A passion and commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and promoting independence and wellbeing
* Organisation and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A non-judgmental and empathetic approach
What are the pay and benefits?
* Part-time - 24 hours, permanent position
* Competitive salary of £23,585.00 FTE (£12.26 per hour)
* Work pattern: predominantly Monday - Friday office hours although flexibility is required to meet the needs of our customers.
* An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will pay for
* 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
