The Role? We are currently seeking a Sustainability Associate to join our team at our London office. This is a permanent role offering an excellent career path within a forward-thinking and innovative consultancy. You will work within a team of Sustainability Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and CAD Technicians, contributing to a broad range of projects across multiple sectors, including Commercial, Civic & Cultural, Healthcare, and Education. You will have the technical knowledge to deliver Energy and Sustainability requirements for projects in London and throughout the UK. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to IN2’s growing reputation in sustainable building design. Your Experience? Degree in Building Services Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a relevant Engineering discipline. A minimum of 10 years’ experience, ideally within a consultancy environment. Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership. Expertise in Energy and Sustainability services, including: Energy Strategies & Sustainability Statements Detailed Thermal Modelling Part L Modelling & Peak Load Analysis TM54 & TM59 Modelling Assessment Methods such as BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon Analysis Strong proficiency in simulation tools, airflow modelling, and daylight/sunlight analysis. Experience in project delivery from concept stage to completion. Ability to present and communicate ideas effectively with clients, architects, and project managers. A passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers within a dynamic team environment. The Key Activities Act as Project Engineer, delivering high-performance environmental design solutions. Develop project scope with the design team and clients, including budgeting and reporting. Lead the implementation of sustainable design strategies across projects. Oversee Resource Management and Planning to ensure efficient project delivery. Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineering staff. Support the Management Team with business development and financial control activities.
