Education: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years Production Engineering experience is essential with experience in the following being highly desirable: Stainless steel fabrication Pneumatics Hazardous Areas or industries with high levels of compliance Job Purpose / Objectives: To standardise and improve manufacturing by reviewing, creating and controlling drawings BOM’s, manufacturing drawings and build procedures for all standard products. To research and implementing new tools and techniques to drive quality, cost down and delivery efficiency of the production process. To ensure all new product introductions are delivered on time and to budget with the effective release of product to manufacture. Production Engineering: Manage and control the system and documents associated with product manufacture and build procedures in line with company systems and standards. Actively involved with and leader of company CI initiatives and implementation. Aim is to produce product in a 100% safe and most economical manner, minimal steps minimal stock and short cycle times to company quality standards. To support a project design, R & D with product development with design for manufacture (DFM) Liaise with project teams and produce plans and activities that support product introduction at the right time, at the right cost and the right quality. Ensure plant and equipment associated with production requirements, i.e. Factory machinery, test equipment, jigs are provided, appropriate and maintained correctly to company operational and H&S standards. Support current product manufacturing needs and production problems as they arise and as a priority. Research and implement best practices in the production process including the selection and recommendation of plant and equipment for H&S or cost down benefit. Train personnel in understanding products and manufacturing/testing techniques. Ensure products comply with the company's Q.A. requirements and meet statutory standards. Assist engineers with product development and production engineering issues. Assist with controlling calibration and maintenance of test rigs and instruments. Key Performance Indicators Improvement project timings are met 100% OTD Project, manufacturing drawings and changes, design work to deliver solutions 100% RFT into manufacture and procurement. Output documents to be 100% appropriate, complete, accurate and timely to enable >95% OTD of product to client
