We are currently looking for SEN tutors to support Post 16 SEN students, providing specialist core subject support in English and Maths as well as offering life skills and SEN support. Tuition will need to take place during school hours, and a timetable will need to be formed to ensure the young person is accessing a structured day.
This opportunity is perfect for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom and make a difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. If you are only able to provide one of the core subjects, please get in touch.
* Location: Barking
* Duration: Ongoing
* Hours: Monday to Friday – 10 hours a week
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years SEN experience
* QTS or equivalent
* Experience teaching the above subjects
* Possess UK classroom teaching experience
* Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
* Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
To be eligible for this role, the Post 16 SEN Tutor must:
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references.
