This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer with a background in product development and an interest in working across the full lifecycle of medical device design. Whether youve previously worked as a mechanical design engineer or product design engineer, this is an opportunity to apply your skills to technically challenging projects in a growing R&D team. Youll focus on developing innovative products from concept to manufacturing, solving mechanical challenges, and delivering designs that meet both technical and client requirements. Experience with tools such as SolidWorks or CREO will be particularly valuable as youll create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings to a high standard. Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineer, youll: Design and develop products using SolidWorks. Prototype and test designs, iterating to refine performance and functionality. Solve mechanical challenges while ensuring designs are suitable for manufacturing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and to specification. Support the development of innovative solutions for a range of medical device applications. What Youll Need Were looking for someone with: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience working in a design-focused role, such as mechanical design engineer or product design engineer. Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks, CREO or NX. A strong understanding of mechanical mechanisms and manufacturing processes like injection moulding. A proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills. Whats On Offer The role includes: A salary of £35,000£40,000. Paid overtime with the option to take time off in lieu.
