We are currently recruiting within our A&H team in our Glasgow office for a Senior Claims Adjuster. Ideally suited to candidates with previous claims handling/adjusting experience, preferably within Accident & Health or similar lines of business. We will also consider experienced claims adjusters with experience gained in other business lines.
The key purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of complex claims for a specific line of business including coverage analysis, investigation and evaluation of policy liability & legal liability.
Key Responsibilities
* Negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This may involve policy holders, insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, solicitors and other third parties.
* Self-management of own caseload to ensure prompt settlement of files.
* Develop and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts.
* Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met.
* Work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained.
* Represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers, key clients and London market representatives.
* Act as a technical resource and provide guidance on the claims assessment process to junior colleagues.
* Mentoring, training and coaching junior colleagues where relevant.
Minimum Requirements
* ACII qualification advantageous but not essential.
* Previous end to end claim handling experience.
* Considerable market experience.
* Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of specialist product line, the insurance market and competitors.
* Solid experience in dealing with brokers and clients.
* Ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
