SRG is partnered with a leading waste management and recycling company who have an excellent reputation in the sector. They are now looking for a Mobile Chemist to join their team. This role will involve visiting and working with customers to determine the best methods of packaging, transporting and processing chemical wastes. A strong foundation in Chemistry is needed to provide safe recommendations and consult with customers on improving recycling, storage and segregation of their chemical waste products. The position would be ideally suited to someone who has some industrial experience, perhaps as a Chemist in the waste or recycling sector or equally, from a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.

Role / Description
Provide technical support, waste packing, and collection services to customers.
Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring waste is inspected for compliance and container integrity before transportation.
Gather detailed information to facilitate the compliant removal of waste on the same day to an appropriate facility, whenever possible.
Enter relevant details into company systems to ensure smooth acceptance and processing of waste at the designated site.
Create load plans to assist drivers in segregating incompatible chemicals for transport.
Perform liquid pumping services, transferring waste from damaged or unsuitable containers to appropriate ones, ensuring safe removal from site and customer satisfaction.
Respond to sales inquiries by providing timely cost estimates based on site visits and details provided by sales or customer services.
Advise on time estimates and packing materials required for Hazpack work to assist in providing accurate costings for waste management services.Requirements
Minimum HNC level qualification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Industrial experience gained in the waste, water or chemical industry
Full clean driving licence
Understanding of chemical classifications, hazards and interactions from experience with COSHH, Safety Data Sheets, etc.
Good interpersonal skills and organisation
Full right to work in the UK - There is no sponsorship available for this role
