About the Role and School
We are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic department at a thriving secondary school in Newham. The school is committed to excellence and ensuring that all students are given the best opportunities to reach their potential. In this role, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and 5. You will inspire students to explore the world through literature, develop their communication skills, and think critically and creatively.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, deliver, and assess dynamic English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
2. Set clear expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment both in the classroom and around the school.
3. Establish learning targets based on students' prior achievements and integrate formative and summative assessments into your planning.
4. Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate with colleagues to deliver a well-rounded curriculum.
