You will have the unique opportunity to lead and evolve our systems and tools we deploy across our group, looking after how we design, capture and leverage data across the business and develop the team to support the long-term business growth.
You’ll be pivotal in assessing our current tools and capabilities and the continual development of our soon to be implemented Microsoft Dynamics business system.
You will lead a team of IT Manager, Power Platform Solutions Specialist and IT Support Technician, in addition to external expertise to run key projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Build data & information systems strategy to support our growth ambitions
2. Direct the information and data integrity of the company and its business units, whilst ensuring the security of the information systems, communication lines and equipment
3. Architect our system landscape and move from on-premise to cloud
4. Direct a comprehensive software strategy through conception, design, delivery, continuous improvement and end of life as appropriate
5. Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the business, anticipating the needs and requirements of the business to ensure that software and services contribute to business outcomes
6. Contract and manage external service providers for system integration and ad-hoc work
7. Identify business opportunities for data and BI usage in the organization
8. Developing and delivering IT strategies and plans to cost, quality, time and providing regular analysis of progress
9. Developing an in depth understanding of our business KPI’s and helping to shape them for the future
10. Delivering meaningful and user-friendly reporting to support key business decisions
Minimum Requirements:
1. Have a degree level education in Computer Science, MIS, or related work experience, plus a strong understanding of Agile and other software development methodologies
2. A quality track record in IT leadership
3. Outstanding ability in managing business operations, together with a strong hands-on management, leadership and communications
4. Capable in fostering effective working relationships, building consensus and in influencing a variety of users at every level of the business
5. Experience in working with and managing external contractors
6. Have experience of managing concurrent projects and business change
7. Have experience of ERP, MRP, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SQL Server (Dynamics 365 & Power Platform beneficial)
8. Be calm and balanced, promoting collaboration within a team
