Your Role:
As a Hardware Design Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our operations:
1. Lead day-to-day and strategic planning, effectively managing tasks and resources within the department
2. Implement departmental direction to achieve agreed-upon goals, representing the department's interests within the wider R&D organisation
3. Review, develop, implement, and manage systems, processes, and procedures within the department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
4. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary R&D teams to ensure designs are effectively and efficiently developed and reviewed
5. Work with internal departments to resolve issues in a timely manner, utilising schematics, PCB layouts, and internal resources as needed
6. Assist relevant departments in fault finding designs to the component level and answer technical customer inquiries
7. Ensure designs meet cost, performance, quality, standards, and safety requirements, leading in the review of design and product documentation
8. Lead the handover to Product Management, Production, and Customer Service, ensuring seamless transitions
9. Provide regular feedback, conduct annual PDRs, motivate, and develop the team to achieve objectives and targets, and manage all people-related matters within the team
