Are you passionate about animal welfare and experienced in farm management? A charming working farm on the edge of North Bristol, is looking for a dedicated Farm Manager to lead our team.
About Us
We are a free-to-access, family-friendly farm showcasing a variety of animals — from Dexter cattle and Shetland ponies to goats, pigs, and poultry. We welcome the public year-round and strive to create a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
As the Farm Manager, you will:
Oversee the daily care, welfare, and health of all animals, including feeding, cleaning, vaccinations, and medical treatments.
Manage breeding livestock, assisting with calving, farrowing, and kidding, and coordinating with our veterinary team.
Lead and supervise a small team of staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and policies.
Maintain accurate records for legal compliance and best practices.
Manage visitor access, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment.
Oversee basic maintenance of farm facilities and animal enclosures. What We’re Looking For
Experience in livestock management and animal care.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of agricultural legislation and animal welfare standards.
Practical experience with breeding and veterinary care.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional out-of-hours care. Working Hours
8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with breaks.
Every other weekend, with Fridays off in lieu.
Flexibility required during breeding periods or emergencies.
