Senior Agile Business Analyst, London/Remote, £525/day (Outside IR35)
A good client of ours are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Business Analyst to join their Projects Department in their London Head Office. This role will initially lead the discovery phase of a new global intranet project, ensuring it becomes a valuable business asset that enhances collaboration, communication, and efficiency. The successful candidate will engage our senior partners, sponsors, the business and technical SMEs to ensure strategic alignment and organisation goals are met.
You will collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct a thorough business requirements analysis. This includes performing an options assessment for the technical solution, which may involve enhancing the existing system, integrating new features, or implementing a new content management solution (CMS). Additionally, you will lead market research and a vendor assessment (RFI) to evaluate available solutions. The findings will be synthesised into a comprehensive business case outlining the technical and business options, high level associated plan, costs and recommended approach for approval.
Responsibilities
Process analysis
* Evaluation of current state including existing intranet features, content, pain points, and dependencies (usability & technical view).
* Outline of future state including target features, integrations, security, and compliance considerations.
* Observe and analyse current work practices to identify areas for improvement.
* Work with the business to identify the various personas that need to be explored due to the diversity of the client.
* Apply appropriate modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards as required to understand the business.
* Identify and help specify appropriate visual management, where its introduction will help improve process efficiency and client experience.
* Interact with front line staff with confidence, building rapport quickly and fostering trust.
* Comfortably interact with senior stakeholders, concisely sharing findings and overview of changes and benefits forecast.
Business Analysis
* Support the business in the initial translation of business outcomes into potential technology solutions options.
* Lead requirements workshops, user story reviews and process / solution walkthroughs.
* Ability to elicit, capture, analyse and synthesise business requirements, including recognising patterns and conceptualising complex processes.
* Define and document refined user needs, functional and non-functional requirements (collaborating with business leads).
* Ability to write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria which are understandable by both business and technical stakeholders and ensure you have envisaged how they may be tested.
* Extensive stakeholder experiences ranging from front line staff through to senior leadership, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
* Pragmatic decision making and situation appropriate assertiveness, to proactively challenge and negotiate the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
* Experience of working with in-house and outsource development / delivery providers.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to present effectively to different groups including varying content and tone as needed to land the right message.
* Application of appropriate modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards as required to understand the business.
