Care Home Nurse - Ayr
At Windyhall Care Home, we're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our exceptional team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you'll be responsible for delivering clinical excellence and holistic care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Craft personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
* Ensure accuracy in care documentation and communicate effectively with the team.
* Lead with confidence, organizing and guiding your team to deliver top-notch care.
* Facilitate seamless transitions, overseeing shift handovers and ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
* Monitor health, perform routine observations, and manage specific health needs with attention to detail and safety.
* Administer medications safely, adhering to MAR sheets and protocols.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
* Promote independence, supporting residents in daily activities while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
* Act on feedback, prioritizing resident health and well-being.
* Champion respect, upholding the dignity and individuality of every resident.
* Encourage engagement, facilitating social interactions and activities that enrich the lives of residents.
* Prioritize safety, maintaining a vigilant eye on health and safety.
* Support nutrition, advocating for balanced nutrition and hydration.
* Respond to emergencies, utilizing the on-call system and reflective practices to continually improve our care.
About You:
* You're a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
* Care home experience is a plus, but what matters most is your passion for care and dedication to improving the lives of our residents.
* You have a natural ability to connect with people, bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanor to every interaction.
* Communication is your superpower, whether you're talking with a resident about their needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team.
