As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Foundation, leading with integrity, passion, and vision. Are you a visionary leader with a commitment to excellence in education? Do you have proven Senior Leadership experience with a track record of driving improvement and innovation? Do you have experience in leading and enhancing teaching and learning strategies to support high-quality instruction and student outcomes? Do you have a deep understanding of SEMH, SEND, and psychologically informed practices to create inclusive and supportive learning environments?
You will be instrumental in driving excellence in education, inclusion, and student well-being across all sites, ensuring that every learner has access to a high-quality, supportive, and enriching educational experience.
Purpose of Role
Working closely with the Principal and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, safeguarding, and pastoral care. You will also oversee key aspects of curriculum development, staff development, and student progress, ensuring that the Foundation remains a dynamic and innovative learning environment. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can inspire and empower both students and staff, fostering a culture of ambition, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will be a proactive problem solver, able to work effectively with internal teams and external partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for all learners.
Location: Based at The William Henry Smith School (with responsibility for multiple sites)
Contract: Permanent / Full Time (during term-time and management/holiday cover)
Responsible To: Head of School and Deputy Principals
Site Visits: 2nd April 2025 (9.00 – 10.00am or 4.00 – 5.00pm)
Interview Date: 2nd May 2025
