Job Title: Continuous Improvement Lead/Consultant
Location: Cwmbran, UK
Contract Duration: 2 Months
Hourly Rate: Up to £75 per hour
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Lead/Consultant for a 2-month contract in Cwmbran. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver impactful changes in a short timeframe, working with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing waste.
2. Identify key areas for improvement through data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
3. Collaborate with teams across the business to implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline processes.
4. Develop and implement strategies that drive sustainable improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
5. Provide expert consultation, coaching, and training to staff on continuous improvement practices and methodologies.
6. Track and report on project progress, ensuring clear communication of results and performance metrics to senior management.
7. Ensure all initiatives comply with industry standards and health & safety regulations.
8. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
1. Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement Lead or Consultant role.
2. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other relevant process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred).
3. Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering successful continuous improvement projects.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and drive fact-based decision-making.
5. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
6. Proficiency in using relevant CI tools such as process mapping, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping.
7. Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
8. Prior experience within manufacturing, engineering, or related industries is highly desirable.
