Roles & Responsibilities
* Technical Support
* Provide first-line support to diagnose and resolve IT issues related to hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
* Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams where necessary.
* Log, prioritize, and track service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
* System Maintenance
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, and software applications.
* Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks.
* Monitor IT systems and network performance to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
* Network Management
* Support the configuration and management of LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, and routers.
* Ensure network security by implementing security protocols and performing regular audits.
* Asset Management
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
* Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and company policies.
* User Training and Documentation
* Provide training and guidance to end users on IT systems, software, and cybersecurity best practices.
* Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and solutions.
* Projects and Improvements
* Assist in IT-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in IT (e.g., IT Support, Computer Science, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in an IT support or technician role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory.
* Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
* Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
* Experience with ITIL frameworks or certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
* Experience in cybersecurity tools and practices.
* Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
