Area Sales Manager - Scotland Basic salary £35k - £45k plus bonus, commission, company car, fuel card, tablet pension. The Role The successful Area Sales Manager will promote and sell of a wide range of industrial products including welders, compressors, generators, automotive, workshop tools and woodworking equipment to distributors. Other responsibilities will include: Effectively managing a range of customers across a southern sales territory. Building strong relationships with independent distributors and major accounts at a local/regional level - which include hire centres, MRO companies, tool companies, lifting centres and welding supplies, automotive and generic distributors. Identify opportunities to secure and build long term, successful relationships. Selling the company's full range of welders, compressors, generators, automotive, workshop tools and woodworking equipment. Attending trade shows to promote equipment and services. Increasing sales and turnover in line with agreed goals and targets. Responsible for the delivery of business development initiatives by seeking and signing up new customers. Delivering product training to customers. The Candidate To be considered for the role of Area Sales Manager, you should be able to demonstrate the following: A proven and stable track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a B2B sales environment. Strong account management and business development skills; previous experience as an Area Sales Manager, selling to distributors. Committed to excellent customer service. An organised, results focused and proactive approach. Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Experience of selling a technical product portfolio. Capable of engaging with customers at all levels. Full UK driving licence.
