What is the Job?
Our F&B outlets make memories for our guests, be it in breakfast, the intimate lobby bar or 62 seater Pan Asian restaurant. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As Assistant F&B Manager you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day running of the Food and Beverage operations – working as part of the Management Team, making sure the F&B outlets run smoothly. You will make sure you and your team maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations at all times.

About The Role
Your Day to day
People
* Assist the F&B Manager in all aspects of their duties and deputise in their absence
* Assisting in managing the efficient operation of the F&B department
* Meeting Andras Hotels and Hilton Targets including Hilton Honors enrolments, financial and quality targets, etc.
* Communicate objectives, budgets and results to the team, ensuring objectives are set and targets are met
* Maintain inter-departmental relationships to ensure seamless guest services
* To assist the F&B Manager in the development of the reception team and actively coach on hospitality skills, department procedures etc.
Guest Experience
* Be the leader on shift during service, performing your duties confidently
* Have full awareness of Tapestry brand standards and ensuring the F&B team follow through on these standards on a daily basis
* Have full product knowledge of the facilities offered at the hotel
* Check and monitor that all beverages and food items are prepared and served according to company standards and within regulations
* Supporting the F&B Team enabling them to meet all guest requirements effectively
* Assisting Management with serious complaints.
Responsible Business
* Demonstrate awareness of health and safety policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within guidelines
* Keep staff / work areas tidy, safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management and observe all requirements under health and safety legislation.
* Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards
* Familiarise yourself with the company values and model desired behaviours
* Act as Duty Manager when required
Financial
* Control the stock rotation, wastage
* Compile statistics for F&B and provide reports relating to that area
* In conjunction with the F&B Manager interpret the department's budget
* Understand goals and financial targets, supporting your team in achieving these
* Control cash handling and banking procedure, including dealing with irregular payments

Desired Criteria
* 1 year experience in an assistant management role within a hotel environment
* Experience in a branded hotel
Required Criteria
* 2 years’ experience within a Food and Beverage supervisory role
* Proven experience of supervising and directing others, while demonstrating a hands-on approach
* Customer service experience
* Ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure with the ability to motivate others within the Food and Beverage Team
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Strong IT competency
