Job Title: SEN Support Assistant Location: North Manchester, BL9 Job Type: Full-time role available, 8.30am-3.30pm (long-term opportunity) Salary: competitive, experience-dependent (£13.75-£14.16 per hour) Application Deadline: 10 th April 2025 Start Date: 22 nd April 2025 A primary school in the BL9 area is currently looking to recruit a dedicated individual for the role of SEN Support Assistant to provide exciting and engaging educational experiences to children across Key Stage 1. The school works collaboratively with pupils and parents alike with the intention of building strong, trust-filled relationships. Many of their pupils possess unique talents that the school strive to nurture through the creation and maintenance of a positive learning environment. This role would be 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday-Friday, term-time only until the end of the academic year (July 2025). Relevant qualifications (level 2/3 education-based qualification) are preferred but not essential. Within this role, you will be expected to: Create strong relationships with pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities Encourage positive choices and behaviour Provide support within the classroom and work together with other SEN Support Teaching Assistants and class teachers Get involved in core and foundation subjects to support those pupils with additional needs Whether you have experience with supporting individuals with SEN in an alternative environment, you are a recent graduate looking for experience in a specialist role, and individual with prior experience in support/care work, or have supported children with additional needs before then this is the perfect role for you However, this particular school are keen to consider a variety of candidates, so whilst previous experience is preferred, it is not essential.
