Position: Associate Mechanical Engineer
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
Location: Birmingham
We currently have an exclusive opportunity to join a global leading building services consultancy based in Birmingham, where you will be a key part of the mechanical services team.
The Role
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will be directly involved in a range of multi-million-pound projects working across all Building Services Sectors.
1. You will be in a client-facing role, attending project meetings and disseminating the brief within the project team.
2. You will supervise the development of initial strategic concepts for projects.
3. Engaging with clients from multiple different projects at various stages of progress.
4. Working as part of the Firm-wide Science & Research Group, to gain experience and understanding from others, and to support and disseminate knowledge to others in the Firm.
5. You will be financially astute and work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered.
6. Looking at new ways of working and taking time out for innovation and research to ensure we keep abreast of our competitors.
7. Creating and maintaining a high reputation within the industry and ensuring adherence to QM and risk control procedures is also a very important part of the role.
What We’re Looking For
1. You should be a Chartered Engineer.
2. 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Demonstrate suitable design experience in the building services sectors.
4. Effective communicator, both verbally and in the production of reports and specifications.
5. Understand project needs and be able to manage the full delivery.
6. Excellent client communication skills.
7. Experience of people management is required.
