Charnwood College is an oversubscribed 11 to 18 school, which has seen significant improvements over the last five years. The most recent Ofsted inspection rated the school as Good in all areas stating that ‘Pupils at Charnwood College experience a culture of respect and positivity’ and that ‘Leaders have established an inclusive and calm environment in which pupils can learn’. Staff and students follow ‘The Charnwood Way’, to create a positive, learning culture in which all students are immersed. The spacious, well-maintained site offers excellent facilities over 40 acres. About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Leader committed to excellence and innovation in mathematics education. In our Mathematics Faculty, we take pride in our dedication to academic achievement and fostering a supportive, inclusive community. Our department is a hub of enthusiasm and expertise, consisting of eight experienced and passionate educators who thrive on inspiring the next generation of mathematicians.
We offer a diverse and comprehensive curriculum, including GCSE Mathematics, GCSE Statistics, Level 3 Core Mathematical Studies, A-Level Mathematics, and Computing at Key Stage 3. Our state-of-the-art facilities are bright, spacious, and designed to foster learning and collaboration. Backed by exceptional support staff, we create an environment where both students and educators excel.
Recent years have seen remarkable growth in our mathematics outcomes, with our most recent progress score of +0.49 showcasing the effectiveness of our approach. We are looking for an ambitious and visionary leader to sustain and build on this momentum.

This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is not suitable for an ECT.
