Responsibilities
will include:
1. Support on the development of standard templates, guidance, and processes to develop/maintain the Tier 1 Management Systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and PAS 2080
2. Carry out Environmental Ambition monitoring assessments to understand the performance and progress of delegation strategy, potentially with a greater degree of support to the business unit action plans e.g. achieving recycling targets and actions around promoting positive biodiversity
3. Provide sustainability advice through site visits and highlight opportunities for improvements and solutions to known challenges, promoting a consistent approach
4. Working collaboratively with specialists across the business to deliver initiatives and new ideas as part of continual improvement
5. Support on the GHG assessment for Scope 1, 2 and 3
6. Assist business unit managers to ensure environmental incidents are recorded, investigated and root causes are addressed
7. Develop, communicate and promote best practice examples from the business
8. Develop learning resources and materials to improve the culture and awareness for environment and sustainability
9. To actively foster a positive staff morale
10. To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management
Seeking Candidate with:
11. Experience within the construction industry (desirable)
12. Experience in an Environmental role
13. Member of IEMA (Ideally Practitioner)
14. NEBOSH Environmental Certificate (desirable)
