This York based Plantroom Technician/Process Engineer role could be a dream opportunity for you Working for an end user you will be able to enjoy having a sizeable budget, regular hours and no on-call. The job itself includes carrying out statutory inspections, ensure the unit is working effectively and monitoring systems to prevent issues while working to reduce the environmental impact of operations. It's essential that you have a background of working in coal fired power stations, and if you have had the chance to get involved with renewable sources, so much the better. You will need to be qualified in mechanical or chemical engineering and familiar with performing the duties detailed above. Similarly, if you have experienced working as a permit issuer and/or an AP that will be particularly useful. On offer is a steady 36 hours per week working in York, Monday to Friday with limited out of hours working. When there is a need for out of hours, it is always planned so you can be sure that your evenings and weekends are undisturbed. The rates quoted are for working on a PAYE basis with the initial contract expected to last for a minimum of six months. Limited company rates are available, but the role is inside IR35.
