The expanding Coventry Community Neuro and Stroke Rehab Services (CINSS) are looking for a highly motivated Physiotherapist to join their interdisciplinary team due to internal promotion.To work full time. The service is a community based interdisciplinary therapy team, who support the timely discharge of patients from hospital. These patients have ongoing rehabilitation or neuro management needs following a new or worsening presentation of a neurological condition, both stroke, and non-stroke. The teams work collaboratively with acute services, rehab and community networks and third sector services to deliver a patient centred; goal focused approach to rehabilitation. Our team is an integral part of the stroke pathway, in reaching into both stroke and in-patient rehab settings, with the hope of offering rotations across the pathway in the future. This post will offer you the opportunity to consolidate and develop neurological and wider clinical skills, as well as giving you the opportunity to be part of quality improvement projects and service developments, working closely with other Physiotherapists and the wider team. Main duties of the job An inclusive team approach and excellent communication skills are essential. You will be expected to work independently and effectively within the Community Stroke and Integrated Neuro Rehab Service to ensure safe and effective management of these patients in the community. You will be able to prioritise your workload and time effectively to support an integrated approach. This post would suit an experienced band 6 Physiotherapist looking to develop further their neuro clinical skills or a band 5 with a wide range experience and an ability to demonstrate transferable skills into this clinical area. Experience of working in the NHS and as a Band 5 Physiotherapist is essential.
