Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (Depending on Experience)

Our Colchester based client consists of 2 children’s homes (in the CO3 & CO4 postcode areas), a newly designed, innovative facility located in the heart of Colchester, consisting of two separate 3-bedroom homes that can support up to six children in total. Each home is thoughtfully designed to provide a nurturing and spacious environment, with ample communal and living areas. The primary focus of the home is to provide robust care for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties, helping them overcome challenges and develop the skills they need to succeed. Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is currently searching for a dependable, caring, passionate and experienced OFSTED Registered Manager to join and will effectively manage a team of staff providing child centred care for children in a residential setting in accordance with legislation and departmental policies and procedures and individual care plans.
Job Purpose
As a Multi-Site Registered Manager, your supervisory functions include:
* To be responsible for the management and operational delivery of the Children’s Homes.
* To oversee the implementation of standards as required by OFSTED.
* To support the registration process of the Children’s Home.
* To lead regulatory inspections, ensuring the service is high-quality and evidenced based during inspection with support from the Responsible Individual.
* To successfully achieve a minimum ‘Good’ inspection rating.
* To be part of the on-call system.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
* Leadership & Management – Provide appropriate professional advice to enable high quality care to be provided for children in a safe and stable environment.
* Enabling Environment - Develop and maintain a child-centred and stimulating environment.
* Mentorship - Allocate, prioritise, and monitor the work of the team, identify areas for improvement and development of individuals and the team.
* Safeguarding - To safeguard and promote the welfare of resident children
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with staff, partners and other agencies to ensure the co-ordination and delivery of integrated services.
* Record Management: Maintain effective record keeping systems to provide reports as required
* Policy Management: Lead on policy development, planning and implementation for the home, liaising with other professionals and third-party agencies.
* Management Support: To work alongside the Responsible Individual to review, monitor and plan services supporting the overall strategic direction
* Care Plan Management - Delegate to staff responsibility to keep computerised care plans, reports and assessments for each child/young person.
* Quality Management: Respond to and ensure appropriate action is taken following internal and external inspections, audits, complaints, and investigations.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the service and liaise with statutory bodies, key local bodies, inspection bodies, other professionals, children’s representatives, and parents/carers.
* Recruitment and Training: Supervise recruitment, induction, development, and management of staff in accordance with departmental policies to ensure that staff perform to a high standard and maintain the required levels of competence and attendance.
* Personal Development: Take responsibility for own professional development and participate in supervision, appraisal and training events as agreed
Candidate Requirements (All Essential):
* NVQ Level 5 Diploma – Leadership for Residential Childcare or working towards
* Proficient numeracy/literary skills equivalent to GCSE or above in English and Math
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role as a Registered Manager
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working within residential childcare
* Must demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal & written communication, and organizational skills.
* A strong knowledge and understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of Quality standards 2015; Children’s Homes Regs. 2001; The Children’s Act 1989 & 2004; Children’s Rights
* Experience of leading OFSTED inspections with a minimum of good ratings
* Ability to develop and conduct effective training and mentorship sessions.
* Strong Interpersonal abilities & ability to work under pressure
* Knowledge of the process of assessment and care management
* Experience of managing a large staff team
* Experience of improving and developing care services
* Excellent administrative skills & analytical skills.
* Computer literacy (using Office programs, particularly Word, Teams, and Outlook)
* Demonstrate commitment to promoting the welfare of young adults with disabilities
