Nordson Test & Inspection, a leading provider of advanced inspection and testing solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Aylesbury, United Kingdom. Summary of the role
The Quality Department aims to ensure that the organisation is fit for purpose and that it meets both external and internal requirements, including product and company certifications, legal compliance, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Department also ensures that all Quality Policies and Procedures are adhered to and that the business delivers the highest quality products to its customer, on time and without the need for returns.

Role and Responsibilities
* Management of the Inspection of piece parts manufactured to a drawing, checking size, finish and cosmetic appearance.
* Participate, as appropriate and required, in project groups with staff from other internal teams to ensure Quality performance remains high.
* Provide information and advice on Quality to other departments.
* Assist in the training of other members of the business (directly related to quality matters) as required.
* Administration and maintenance of internal Quality Systems, i.e. Internal Non-Conformance reports & 8D's, ECN's, Concessions etc.
* Investigate any problems that occur to keep the flow of production going and liaise with stores in case there are any problems with the stock, including supplier interaction where necessary.
* Check final product to be sent to customers in QC laboratory, i.e. machine audits.
* Support of maintenance of the internal Quality Management System.
* Responsible for carrying out Internal Audits.
* Assist with facilitation of External Audits.
* Root cause analysis and implementation of Corrective Actions for process-related concerns including facilitation/lead for SD investigations.
* Product/process defect analysis including fault finding/diagnosis.
* Plant Quality support (where required).
* Environmental System and Health and Safety System where required administration support.
* Internal investigation owner for Quality (in conjunction with the Quality Manager and the Quality Engineer).
* Handling of both internal and customer quality issues. Direct customer contact when required.
* Maintenance of quality KPI reporting information.
* To interface with Research and Development, Engineering, and Operations to support New Product Introduction activities.
Skills and Qualifications
* Degree qualification in an Engineering discipline.
* Previous experience within a Quality function.
* Experience of using Six Sigma Problem-solving tools and methodology (i.e. 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
* Good understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO 9001 (ISO internal auditor).
* Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and technical data.
Travel
* Occasional travel may be required (Worldwide).
