We are seeking a dedicated and experienced technically skilled Welder TIG/MIG to join our busy manufacturing client based in the Bolton area.

Hourly Pay: £15.22
Location: Bolton
Working Hours: Mon - Thurs - 7.30am - 4pm, Fri - 7.30am - 1pm
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Ensure jobs are welded as required by the router and drawings and within the times provided, ensuring a high-quality finish in line with company drawings and tolerances.
2. Report any discrepancies to the line supervisor.
3. Dress/Finish off parts to the standard required for each job - selecting the correct tools and abrasive pads.
4. Inspect work to drawings, be vigilant on quality, and always query any doubts with your supervisor.
5. Ensure quantities are adhered to and take care with product counts.
6. Adhere to health and safety requirements and the safe operation of welding machines and tools.
7. Always wear supplied and appropriate personal protective equipment.
Key Skills
1. Ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure.
2. Ability to work both alone and within a team, to meet the needs of the production department.
3. Ability to demonstrate the proper application of common welding processes.
4. Ability to interpret welding symbols and technical drawings.
5. Knowledge of materials and their weldability characteristics.
6. Knowledge of welding safety standards.
7. Knowledge of welding inspection.
8. Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
9. Ability to use measuring equipment, including tapes, Vernier callipers, and squares.
10. Ability to converse in English.
(TIG Welding and Brazing experience would be advantageous for this role, however, this is not essential.)
