We are a 26 bedded Spinal ward, caring for patients with a range of spinal conditions from across the Greater Manchester Region. Alongside the ward senior nursing team, the ward is supported by specialist spinal nurse teams and advanced nurse practitioners.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting our Team to ensure that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.

Main duties of the job
As a registered nurse, you will work as part of our H5 team working to ensure that care given to our patients, from admission to discharge, has been a good experience for them with excellent standards of care. You will work collaboratively with all members of the MDT and specialist nurses. You will be responsible for the medication, including checking and administration. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of compassion for patients and their relatives.
You will be developed by our dedicated training professionals, including our specialist spinal nurses. You'll have access to a wide range of learning opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities, including seminar rooms, an IT suite, a library, skills labs, and an on-site simulation suite. You'll also have access to CPD to help take your career in the right direction.
You will be supported to develop the competence and confidence you need as an effective, independent healthcare professional. You'll receive a full induction programme, benefit from classroom-based training and clinical skills assessments.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
