Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you need to have experience in IT control environments and frameworks, along with practical experience in risk management methodologies. A solid understanding of operational risk in a technology environment with a focus on IT resilience is essential, as well as experience in a risk or control technical role within the financial services industry. You should also demonstrate:
1. A fundamental understanding and knowledge of IT resilience, disaster recovery, IT architecture principles, and general IT controls.
2. A good understanding of operational resilience regulation in the financial industry, especially PRA SS1/21.
3. Experience in high-available cloud architecture and cloud disaster recovery mechanisms.
4. Solid experience in IT risk management practices and reporting.
5. Experience in IT auditing.
Your responsibilities are:
As a Technology Controls Specialist, IT Resilience, I'll rely on you to apply effective risk management thinking in our IT environment, anticipating and assessing the potential impact of IT stability and disruption risks across our organization. You will be responsible for first-line risk oversight over IT resilience and IT change controls by identifying and assessing material risks, as well as managing the key controls for IT resilience and IT change risk.
In this role, you will:
1. Act as a key contact for the WCDIO Resilience Service forum, ensuring the criticality of IT assets is adequately assessed.
2. Supervise IT disaster recovery activities and support the disaster recovery strategy and increase our IT resilience maturity.
3. Represent Tech Risk & Controls in various architecture boards and support our cloud strategy from an IT resilience perspective.
4. Supervise the IT change portfolio and key initiatives, representing risk in our change board.
5. Proactively support external audits from a first-line IT risk perspective and put potential findings into risk context.
6. Own the IT resilience and change risk reporting.
