A leading systematic trading firm is looking for an Electronic Trading Support Engineer to join their Trade Operations team in London. This team is central to managing and maintaining one of the most advanced electronic trading environments globally, with a strong focus on automation, real-time performance, and reliability. You'll be working in a high-performance, low-latency environment where the ability to react quickly and make informed decisions under pressure is critical. The role blends technical operations, risk awareness, and direct interaction with both internal stakeholders and external parties such as exchanges. What you'll be doing: Supporting live trading during London market hours Monitoring order flow and market connectivity across global venues Responding to market-wide alerts and infrastructure incidents Coordinating directly with exchanges and third parties to maintain stability Owning operational readiness for new trading strategies and system changes What they're looking for: Background in a quantitative or technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, etc.) Solid understanding of financial markets and products (equities, derivatives, crypto, etc.) Comfortable working with UNIX-based systems Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or similar Strong communication skills - able to work closely with internal teams and external partners Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in high-pressure environments Interest in market data, order entry systems, and how modern electronic markets function Bonus points for: Experience in a trading environment or working with live production systems Series 7 or 57 certification
