In this role, you'll be the Current Manufacturing Engineer (CME) ensuring all paint-related facilities and processes are capable of allowing the Production team to produce vehicles that meet and exceed the business requirements by implementing robust process controls and improvement projects as well as supporting facility changes through data-driven actions, continuous improvement and benchmarking initiatives. You'll be part of a team of engineers who collaborate across functions to ensure we have established compliance with IATF to deliver and maintain processes that meet the requirements. It is also important for us to share best practice across the platforms and between manufacturing plants to ensure we employ the best processes available wherever possible. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Process Capability of all Paint Application equipment.
* Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
* Managing projects
* PFMEA and Control Plans
* Ensure film build and appearance metrics are within specification.
* Bespoke paint introduction
* Provide technical and process support to manufacturing (paint application areas)
Previous experience of paint application processes would be a distinct advantage and is preferable.
* Clear written & oral communication skills including Excel
* Some AIMS2, WERS, PACNS, eTracker, EDMS understanding
* Some PFMEA and Control Plan experience
* Composite experience desirable
