We are a family-owned mixed dairy farm in south Leicestershire, milking 200 high yielding Holsteins on a new Lely set up. This includes four A5 Astronauts, hoovers and Calm Automatic milker feeders for our calf unit. Our Holsteins are averaging 40+ litres per cow, per day and our milk is then supplied to TSDG via Arla. The farm follows a year-round calving pattern, with all our youngstock reared on farm in purpose-built units with a total of 550 cattle. The farm is 700 acres including mixed grassland and an arable operation alongside the dairy unit. We are currently harvesting 200 acres of feed for wheat, 150 acres for maize and 100 acres of grass for the farm’s forage use.
We have previously won the Dairy Vitality Award and High Feed Efficiency Award at the 2023 Cream Awards. We are also currently finalists for the Gold Cup.
