Temporary Works Coordinator
We require a Temporary Works Coordinator to:
* Ensure that the TW supports the delivery programme.
* Deputise for the TWC in his absence.
* Deliver onsite control of erection, inspection, maintenance (where required), safe-use, and dismantling of TW.
* Check erected TWs and control their use, maintenance (where required), and dismantling.
* Produce and maintain a record of inspection during erection, use, maintenance (where required), and dismantling of TW.
* Ensure that relevant sign(s) are identified and attached to key TW that have higher footfall and/or risk, such that they are identified by signage with key information, i.e., dates, SWL, person who inspected, person whom authorised TW.
* Undertake TW design assurance on project through conducting audits and regular meetings with the engineering and project teams, identifying best practices, areas for improvement, and areas of concern.
* Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers, managing their input in the design, development, pricing, and delivery of technical solutions on site and in tenders.
* Actively contribute to developing and sharing knowledge and best practices.
* Maintain personal expertise and knowledge.
In addition to the specifics of the ATWC appointment, they will provide support, similar to Temporary Works inspection as a Civils QC inspector, providing:
* Site-based QC responsibility and surveillance of civils engineering works ensuring compliance with contractor & client specifications.
* Involvement with vendor meetings where required to assist project execution.
* Review of technical documentation submissions, i.e., Quality Packages / Inspection and Test Packs and procedures & method statements. Compilation of concurrent LTRs.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* This is a key role for an individual with up-to-date technical knowledge of temporary works controls.
* At least 3 years’ experience of working on similar projects.
* Post engagement attend the in-house TWC course.
* Post engagement receive TWC appointment sanction from the TWDI.
* Completed H&S training course (SMSTS, IOSH or equivalent).
* Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners and delivery team members under time pressure.
* IOSH Working/Managing Safely.
Security clearance will be required.
