Reporting to the Parts Supervisor, the individual will play a key role in the Parts team. They will be required to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Parts department. To maintain stock levels and stock flow as required to meet departmental needs. To accurately and effectively account for stock and maintain stock control. To ensure the stores area is kept clean and free for storage. Your key responsibilities will be: Be responsible for the Quality, Storage & Handling of parts in Portbury in accordance with agreed processes and protocols. Liaison between suppliers and the Portbury operations team Ensure stock procedures are maintained, and parts are ordered/issued accurately and in a timely manner. To purchase goods from approved suppliers at a competitive rate according to workshop demands Be responsible for department Health & Safety Work in compliance with the Parts Department and Business ISO requirements for health & safety and environmental aspects To ensure parts are stored in an orderly and efficient manor Use of onsite Forklift Truck (Training Provided) Carry out other parts Operation duties as requested by the Portbury General Manager Operate from any of the sites on the Portbury estate as required by Management. Attend Training courses as required on or off site To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you: experience in a Parts Department or similar role confident working under pressure experience of working to deadlines in a fast paced and pressurised environment ability to prioritise effectively and be able to multi-task under pressure. excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and Manufacturers systems (training will be provided where appropriate) self-motivated with strong organisational skills. driven to provide excellent service to all customers - internal and external.
