Company: Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust (DCLT) Department: Hospitality Job Title: Hospitality staff Contract Type: Casual Hours: Casual Responsible to: General Manager / Duty Managers Location / Site: DCLT – Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre Purpose To provide individually, or as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are kept in a clean, hygienic and presentable condition, the upkeep of the site, serving food and drink to customers within shop/catering areas Work to achieve the Vision & Mission of DCLT. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Operational and Health and Safety · Maintain Amenities Block/Campsite/Outside areas. · Assist Customers with onsite enquiries and assist with Setting down of Campers · Only use equipment and machinery that you are trained & authorised to use. · Follow all agreed procedures when using any required powered equipment in a safe, efficient and secure manner to complete cleaning duties, to schedule. · Ensure that all machinery and powered equipment is cleaned at the end of use to a standard that would enable immediate re-use. · Store equipment and machinery in designated locations in a safe and secure manner. · Serve customers within cafe and shop food/ drink · Follow DCLT procedures and COSHH requirements for the safe use of appropriate chemicals for designated areas. · Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the chemicals and cleaning agents used, the method of safe use and mixtures, and of symbols on packaging representing hazardous or corrosive materials, to avoid endangering self or others. · Report any defects found with machinery to the appropriate person (site management), to ensure continued safe use and handling. · Carry out any handling or lifting duties involving heavy or unwieldy weights in a manner that avoids endangering self or others, using correct Manual Handling techniques. · Provide a safe environment and ensure that customers do not cause injury to themselves or others. Human Resources · Ensure you attend associated company wide staff training · Attend training courses relevant to the role and maintain personal CPD. · Carry out duties in accordance with all relevant DCLT policies and procedures. Head Office Practices · Assist and liaise with the Centre Management or their appointed staff in all matters relating to the development of the programme, promotion and operation of the facility. · Attend meetings and briefings as required.
