Adecco is currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Accountant. Our client, a leading organisation in Birkenhead, is looking for an Assistant Accountant/SSC Coordinator to cover a maternity leave. You'll work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, providing accurate financial information and supporting the Shared Service Teams.
Location: Birkenhead
Salary: £30,000
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Financial Accountant with the Monthly Close Process.
2. Coordinate with the External Shared Service Centre for AP/AR Ledgers.
3. Represent finance in weekly AR Cash Collection calls.
4. Manage the AP On-hold report and maintain clean AP/AR ledgers.
5. Assist with cash forecasts, invoices, employee expenses, and payment runs.
6. Support external audit requests and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
1. Hands-on experience with AP/AR ledgers and ERP systems.
2. Strong Excel skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
3. 5 GCSEs (Grade A), including English and Math; graduate status is desirable.
