We are looking for an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our friendly Primary Care Clinical Team working across our two GP Practices in East London. As the Lead GP, you will support the GP Partner in the day-to-day clinical management, clinical supervision, and operation of the Practices.
It is a fast-paced environment with a very mixed patient population.

Main duties of the job
You will be a key player in our Practice Multi-disciplinary team.
We have a mix of Long-term Locum GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates, Practice Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants. Over the past few months, we have also developed resources for our Primary Care Network, including Social Prescribers, a Dietitian, and a Pharmacy Technician supporting our Patient care, to whom you can refer Patients directly.
As well as your own clinics, you will be supporting the day-to-day clinical management and supervision of the Practices, liaising closely with the GP Partner.
We always welcome new ideas and initiatives, and our Clinical Meeting forum will give you the opportunity to share these and to be kept informed on the Practice agenda and performance.
About us
Stratford Health Centre and The Forest Practice are a Primary Care Practice group comprising a population of over 15,000 patients and growing.
We operate within the London Borough of Newham and are part of the wider Newham NW2 Primary Care Network with a population of nearly 40,000 Patients overall.
Our two sites are just 1 kilometre apart, and we have worked hard over the last 12-18 months to operationally integrate the Practices and align our policies and procedures.
Both our Clinical and Administration teams support our service delivery across both Practices, providing a more flexible and productive operating model.
We are always looking for new talent and welcome ideas and initiatives to support Patient service, Team development, and Practice sustainability.
Job responsibilities
1. A key player in our Clinical team providing high-quality and timely patient-centred care.
2. Undertake assessments of a range of health and clinical needs of our Patients using clinical practice skills and your clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients.
3. Follow the BMA/GMC professional code of conduct and NICE prescribing guidelines.
4. Support and deliver 100% CQC clinical and operational compliance within the parameters of your role.
5. Support the completion of clinical workflow laboratory reports, prescriptions, and clinical documentation as advised.
6. Work flexibly to support the needs of the Practice.

Salary: £11,500 to £12,000 a session, recognizing the Lead Role within the organization.
